Extractions

We practice conservative dentistry, so if we can help you save your natural tooth, we will! Unfortunately some conditions in your mouth require us to extract teeth. If we determine that extractions are the best option for you, we will do everything we can to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Periodontal disease is an infection that affects the gums and bone around one tooth or many teeth. If left untreated, gum disease can lead to tooth loss. Porcelain Crowns

Crowns are sometimes called caps. They cover teeth to restore them to their appropriate size, shape, and strength after large fillings, fractures, or weakening forces such as intense grinding. In addition to restoring single teeth, crowns are used to attach fixed bridges, top dental implants, and cover teeth that are too discolored for whitening. Crowns can be made of various restorative materials, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. We prefer porcelain because it is the most natural looking.

Root Canal Therapy

A cracked tooth, a deep cavity, or another tooth injury can cause the tooth’s nerve to become damaged and infected. An infected nerve can cause you to experience dental pain, gum swelling, and tooth loss. In some cases, some people even experience damage to the surrounding jaw bones. With root canal treatment, we remove any damaged tissue and nerves from the infected tooth and then clean and seal the root canal to protect it from bacteria. If needed, our doctors can prescribe an antibiotic our pain reliever to help you recover easily after treatment.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth are your third set of molars that grow in between the ages of 15 and 25. Anxiety-Free Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry in Round Rock at Red Bud Dental

We understand that dental treatments can be nerve-racking for some of our patients. To help our anxious patients relax we offer nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation.

Nitrous oxide is a colorless blend of oxygen and nitrous oxide gases with a pleasant, sweet smell and taste. Inhaling nitrous oxide can create a sense of well-being and relaxation. Administration is comfortable and painless, involving no more than a mask over the nose. Feelings of calm and relaxation are felt almost immediately, and breathing pure oxygen for several minutes after treatment completely reverses the effects.

If you suffer from moderate to severe dental anxiety, our doctors may prescribe oral conscious sedation. Oral conscious sedation is a pill you take about an hour before you dental procedure to help calm you down and help you feel relaxed during your dental visit. Our doctors are happy to discuss which sedation option will work best for you.

Nitrous oxide is one of the safest anti-anxiety agents used in
dentistry and has very few risks and side effects.

Diagnodent®

Diagnodent Treatment at Red But Dental in Round Rock

Diagnodent® is a gentle and comfortable tool used for detecting early tooth decay that is not visible to the naked eye and would probably go undiagnosed by regular methods alone. Leading dental experts agree that traditional methods of detecting tooth decay are inadequate and outdated for modern dentistry. That’s why we are proud to utilize this important technology!

Diagnodent works by scanning your teeth to measure fluorescence within your tooth structure. Healthy teeth will have little or no fluorescence. With this early detection aid, we will be able to treat the affected area before it can develop into a more problematic and more expensive dental treatment.
